Danger Theatre was a satirical series that poked fun at the many conventions that have been a part of adventure series television over the past 30+ years. Two greats from the sixties television were brought in for the series, Lalo Schifrin and Robert Vaughn. Lalo did the music and Robert introduced the series every week. The series generally featured two segments. One, The Searcher, was created by Robert Wolterstorff and the other, Tropical Punch, was created by Robert Wolterstorff & Mike Scott & Penelope Spheeris. Tropical Punch was a direct satire of Hawaii Five-O and featured Adam West as the unflappable captain of the elite police unit. The Searcher is more a satire of loner who helps regular people out type of series. 357 Marina Del Rey was added to the line up when it appeared as though Tropical Punch might not be working out, it was created by the same team that did Tropical Punch. It featured a white and black guy working together as a private detectives who work out of a restaurant at 357 Marina Del Rey. They were only in one episode before the plug was pulled on the entire series.
