    A series based on the 1995 film about a spirited but motherless girl who seems lost amid the night life of New York City until her godmother hires her to work in a library and she encounters the forbidding but fascinating Dewey Decimal System. Her friends include Derrick, an assistant fashion stylist, and O'Neal, a former boxer who works at their favorite restaurant hangout. Wanda is a disgruntled co-worker.
