The annual garage sale at my home located at 207 W Thomas in Wyoming IL will be held this year on Saturday September 18 rain or shine. Hours will be from 9:30 AM until at least 4 PM. Available at the garage sale will be many more of the bargain comics that I normally bring to shows- since as you may be able to guess the garage can hold many more comics than I can fit into my van and bring to a convention. At this point no idea how many comics that will be as it is dependint on how many I buy and sell between this writing and 18 September.
In case you are wondering Wyoming is a small town located just over a half hour drive from the north end of Peoria. It is just under a two hour drive from the convention hotel in Springfield. It is about a 75 minute drive from the Convention hotel in the Quad Cities. It is also about a 2 hour drive from the convention venue in Rockford.
There will be special deals if you decide to buy lots of comics! Long boxes of you choice which at the shows will be on special sale when you buy 2 you can get a third one for FREE!
If you are coming from Peoria take War Memorial west until you hit IL Rt 91 turn right there (This is where the new shopping mall is.) Follow Rt 91 north it will make several turns. The third town you reach will be Wyoming (Dunlap and Princeville will be the first 2). Once you get to Wyoming you will come to a 4 way stop in the middle of town- proceed straight ahead 1 block and turn left, proceed a block and a half the garage sale will be on the south side of the street.
If you are coming from the Quad Cities take I-80 east to EXIT 33 (IL Rt 78). Go south towards Kewanee. Go through Kewanee and keep heading south on Rt 78 until you run into Rt 17 East. Take this through Toulon and into Wyoming. When you get to the 4 way stop in the middle of town turn left - then go ahead 1 block and turn left, proceed a block and a half the garage sale will be on the south side of the street.
If you are coming from the north (Rockford, Chicago) go south to I-80 and when you hit I-80 go west to EXIT 45 (IL-Rt 40) take this south about a half hour drive until you hit IL route 17. You will go through Buda and Bradford. Take Rt 17 west (right) to Wyoming. When you get to the 4 way stop in the middle of town turn right - then go 1 block west and turn right. Go one block north, then turn left. Half a block down the garage sale will be on the south side of the street.

As in the past, the garage sale this year will be held the same weekend as the Stark County Fall Festival Drive. This is an annual event in which all the small towns in Stark county will be having things going on. There will also be food being sold in the park a couple of blocks south as well as a pizza place 2 buildings away from my house and a coffee shop in the downtown area that does serve lunch! So there will be things to keep your boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, kids or parent(s) occupied while you go through all the comics! They do not have a website for the event :(
